LIVE Rules

  1. All 25 Finalists must participate in the 'LIVE Round'.
  2. Participation in the 'LIVE Round' is mandatory in order to be eligible for any of the final awards / prizes.
  3. The performance must be carried out 'LIVE' during the scheduled time slot.
  4. The usage of a musical instrument, background music track or back up singers is allowed as long as the voice of the performer is not over powered.
  5. Lip syncing, auto tuning or any form of artificial voice manipulation is not allowed.
  6. Performers should open the video saying “Hello MusicStar. I’m (name) performing (performance)”.
  7. The performer must ensure that the technical requirements needed for the 'LIVE' performance are met with.
  8. Once all technical aspects are in place from both ends, the performer will only be given one attempt to perform 'LIVE'. The first performance will be considered the final one.
  9. The performer must face the camera while performing so that the face is clearly seen. In the case of a group performance all members need to be clearly visible.
  10. The background should be neutral and of decent quality.
  11. The booking of time slots for the LIVE Round will be based on 'first come - first served' basis. If a time slot is already booked, you must select a different time slot.
  12. A 'Test Round' will be done with all performers at least 2 days before their scheduled time slot. This will ensure that all technical requirements are in place so that the 'LIVE Performance' will take place smoothly at the scheduled time.
  13. Technical requirements for the Live Round will include an internet connection with a minimum speed of 4 mbps, a laptop/desktop, minimum of 1 GB available data, a mic, additional web cam (in the case of a desktop user)
  14. If there is any technical issue from the performer's end, 'Team Viewer' access needs to be given to the technical team of MusicStar to access your computer and resolve the issue. Alternatively, performers can make arrangements for technical support to be available from their end.
